Karachi (HRNW) — Intense unrest was reported at the Sindh High Court on Thursday after a confrontation broke out between lawyers and police personnel. According to sources, several lawyers allegedly assaulted police officers and even tore their uniforms during the clash.

He added that the police department will formally write to the Registrar of the Sindh High Court, and the matter will also be communicated to the concerned bar associations.

DIG Raza stated that authorities are examining all legal aspects to determine the next steps regarding possible action.

The situation follows the ongoing dispute over the 27th Constitutional Amendment, with the Karachi Bar Association and Sindh High Court Bar Association’s general secretaries reiterating that the lawyers’ convention against the amendment will be held at all costs.
