ANF Cracks Down on Drug Smuggling Near Educational Institutions and Across Pakistan

Islamabad/Karachi/Gawadar (HRNW) The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out three major operations targeting drug smuggling near educational institutions and in various cities across Pakistan. During the operations, two suspects were arrested and 56.750 kilograms of drugs worth over PKR 437 million were recovered.

Operations Near Educational Institutions

Near Sangjani Toll Plaza, Islamabad, authorities recovered 3.6 kilograms of cannabis from a rickshaw and arrested the suspect.

Other Significant Operations

  • At Jinnah Airport, Karachi, 0.150 kilograms of cocaine were recovered from a passenger’s baggage bound for Dubai, and the suspect was arrested.
  • Near Gawadar, Chabdar Coastal Line, Pasni, authorities recovered 30 kilograms of heroin and 23 kilograms of ice hidden in the area.

All operations have been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act 1997, and investigations are underway.
