Sydney (HRNW)– At least 16 people lost their lives and more than 40 were injured in a tragic shooting during a Hanukkah celebration on Sunday night at Bondi Beach, a popular area in Sydney.
Police and state health authorities reported that a 10-year-old child was among the deceased, while the oldest victim was 87 years old. As of Monday morning, many of the injured were receiving treatment in hospitals, with several in critical condition.
Following the incident, the area was sealed off as police and security agencies launched a thorough investigation. Initial reports suggest the attack occurred while a large number of people were present at the celebration.
