UAE Announces Unified Friday Prayer Timing Effective January 2026

Abu Dhabi (HRNW)- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has decided to standardize the timing of Friday prayers and sermons in all mosques across the country. According to the Emirati General Authority for Islamic Affairs, the new system will come into effect from January 2, 2026, under which the Friday sermon and prayer will be offered at 12:45 pm across the country.

Previously, Friday prayers were usually offered at 1:30 PM in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, while in Sharjah and the northern emirates, its time was around 12:30 PM. After the new decision, the timing of Friday prayers will now be uniform across the emirate.

The authority has also requested worshippers to adhere to the set time and offer prayers at their scheduled time.
