London (HRNW)- Andy Burnham has officially become the 59th Prime Minister of the United Kingdom following the formal resignation of former Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
According to media reports, Andy Burnham arrived at Buckingham Palace, where he met King Charles III and formally accepted the King’s invitation to form a government, officially assuming the office of Prime Minister.
Burnham has also been appointed First Lord of the Treasury. Political observers expect his administration to adopt a more stable and responsible approach to governance.
The new Prime Minister is also expected to pledge to rebuild the United Kingdom after years of political uncertainty and economic challenges.
After taking office, Burnham arrived at 10 Downing Street, where he expressed his determination to restore public trust by focusing on the everyday concerns of working people.
In his inaugural address, Burnham described the occasion as a historic moment and vowed to pursue wide-ranging political reforms rather than limiting change to a few sectors.
He also pledged to introduce a new economic model for Britain, restore stability, support young people through reforms in the education system, and announce measures aimed at easing inflation beginning the following day.
