Iran Resumes International Flights from Tehran to Muscat and Istanbul

Tehran (HRNW)- The process of restoring international flight operations from Tehran’s main airport is progressing rapidly, with services to Muscat and Istanbul being resumed. According to Iran’s state-run Tasnim news agency in Tehran, international flights from Tehran to Muscat and Istanbul are scheduled to restart on Sunday. The report adds that Iran began a phased resumption of air operations from April 18 under a four-stage plan. In the initial phase, flights were reinstated in eastern regions, while major airports, including Imam Khomeini International Airport, were reopened on April 20. Officials stated that the objective of restoring air services is to normalize flight operations as soon as possible and facilitate passengers. Experts believe that the reopening of Iran’s airspace is significant not only for regional travel but is also expected to positively impact international air traffic and trade activities.
