Iran Insists Lebanon Must Remain Part of Ceasefire Agreement Ahead of Talks

Tehran (HRNW)- Iran has sent a clear message to the United States ahead of upcoming talks, stating that Lebanon cannot be excluded from the ceasefire agreement under any circumstances and must be recognized as an integral part of the deal. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, without naming specific countries, warned that time is running out and regional tensions could further escalate if concerns are not addressed. He emphasized that Iran’s allies, particularly Lebanon and other resistance fronts, are key stakeholders in the ceasefire framework and cannot be ignored.

Qalibaf further stated that this position forms the first and most important point of Iran’s 10-point proposal, adding that Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also taken a clear stance on the Lebanon issue, leaving no room for reversal or denial.
