Islamabad (HRNW): Pakistan received more than $16 billion in external financial assistance over the course of one year, with Saudi Arabia emerging as the country’s largest financial supporter.
According to available details, Saudi Arabia provided Pakistan with $3 billion in fresh deposits, a $1 billion loan, and a $1 billion deferred oil facility.
Sources said the external financial support was aimed at meeting Pakistan’s financial requirements, strengthening foreign exchange reserves, and supporting economic stability.
Officials stated that assistance received from friendly countries and international financial institutions continues to play an important role in supporting the national economy. However, they emphasized that sustainable economic policies remain necessary to manage external debt and long-term financial obligations.
