Korangi: Police Encounter Leads to Arrest of Four Bandits, One Injured

KARACHI (HRNW): Awami Colony Police apprehended four bandits following an encounter near Bagh-e-Korangi. According to SSP Korangi Fida Hussain Janwari, SHO Awami Colony Syed Adnan Bukhari was on routine patrol to curb street crimes when he spotted four suspects on two motorcycles robbing citizens. Upon seeing the police party, the suspects opened fire. In the ensuing retaliatory fire by the police, one bandit was injured and all four suspects were arrested.

The police authorities provided the following details:

  • Identities: The injured suspect has been identified as Rashid Karim, while the other arrested accomplices are Moiz, Anas, and Waqar.

  • Recovered Items: One 9mm pistol, two TT pistols, four mobile phones, cash, and two motorcycles were recovered from the possession of the suspects.

  • Investigation: The criminal records of the suspects and the status of the seized motorcycles are currently being verified.

  • Legal Action: The injured suspect has been shifted to a hospital for medical treatment, while the others have been moved to the police station for further legal proceedings.
