Rangers and CTD Arrest Dangerous “Fitna al-Khawarij” Terrorist in Karachi Operation

KARACHI (HRNW): In a joint intelligence-based operation, the Sindh Rangers and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a high-profile terrorist belonging to the proscribed organization “Fitna al-Khawarij” in the SITE area of Karachi. Authorities identified the captured militant as Noor Alam, also known by the alias “Wafadar,” who was reportedly in the process of organizing his cell to carry out major terrorist activities within the city. During the raid, security forces recovered a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials from his possession.

Initial investigations revealed that the suspect joined the Mufti Noor Wali group in 2014 and has a long history of militancy. He was allegedly involved in numerous coordinated attacks on security forces’ checkpoints in South Waziristan before shifting his focus to urban targets. Law enforcement agencies are currently conducting further interrogations to trace his local facilitators and identify other members of his network operating in the metropolis.
