KARACHI (HRNW): A delegation led by Murad Soni, Head of Community Policing Karachi, met with IG Sindh Javed Alam Odho at the Central Police Office to discuss the regional law and order situation and the promotion of community-based policing initiatives. During the meeting, the participants held detailed discussions on crime prevention strategies and the overall performance of the police force in Karachi and Hyderabad. IG Sindh emphasized that establishing sustainable peace is impossible without the active participation of the public, noting that community policing serves as a vital bridge between the law enforcement apparatus and the citizens they protect.
Highlighting the role of modern innovation, the IG Sindh stated that the integration of advanced technology, specifically CCTV surveillance and Command and Control systems, is essential for improving the quality of modern policing. Murad Soni provided a detailed briefing on the ongoing progress regarding the installation of high-tech cameras and the establishment of a Command and Control Center in Hyderabad. Commending these efforts, the IG Sindh described the project as a milestone for urban security and stressed the need to expand such technology-driven surveillance models to other cities across the province to ensure comprehensive public safety.
