Dubai (HRNW)- Strict measures have been announced against illegal price hikes and manipulation of essential commodities during Ramadan.
According to international media reports, Dubai’s Consumer Protection Authorities have started visiting various markets and commercial centers before Ramadan to keep a close eye on prices.
Shopkeepers have been issued a formal warning to fully comply with the prices set by the government and avoid profiteering or hoarding.
According to authorities, if any trader or business entity illegally changes prices during Ramadan, it will be fined up to 100,000 dirhams (approximately 7.6 million Pakistani rupees).
