Islamabad (HRNW) — The Islamabad High Court has summoned the Director General of Immigration and Passports, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, in person today in a contempt of court case over the failure to remove citizens’ names from the Passport Control List despite a court order.
The court directed the DG Immigration and Passports to appear personally before the court after the proceedings of the division bench.
Justice Azam Khan issued the orders while hearing petitions filed by Afnan Khan, Khurram Shehzad and Hadi Hussain.
The petitioners maintained that despite the court’s orders, their names had not been removed from the Passport Control List.
The court has directed DG Immigration and Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa to appear in person before the division bench today.
