Rome, Italy (HRNW) – A new joint United Nations report released by FAO, IFAD, UNICEF, WFP, and WHO indicates that global hunger has declined for the third consecutive year. However, the agencies warned that progress remains uneven, with several regions still facing severe food insecurity due to conflict, climate shocks, and economic instability. The report calls for sustained investment in resilient food systems and nutrition programmes to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 2—Zero Hunger.
