Russian Missile and Drone Strikes Kill Eight Across Ukraine, Dozens Injured

Kyiv (HRNW)- Russia launched a fresh wave of missile and drone strikes across Ukraine, killing at least eight people and injuring dozens, according to media reports.

Reports said that, in addition to those killed in the attacks on land, five crew members also lost their lives in a separate strike on a civilian cargo ship in the Black Sea.

The attacks targeted several regions, including Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, and Sumy.

In Kharkiv, an attack on a postal terminal on the outskirts of the city killed four people, while an elderly woman was killed in Kyiv. Two more people were killed in the Zaporizhia region, while one person lost their life in Sumy.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the assault on the capital as one of the largest ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 41 missiles, including Iskander ballistic missiles and hypersonic Zircon missiles, along with 125 drones. Ukrainian air defenses claimed to have intercepted 18 missiles and 108 drones.
