Islamabad (HRNW)- Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand held separate meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and the Interior Minister, during which both sides agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture, and other key sectors.
According to reports, the meetings also covered counter-terrorism cooperation, infiltration from Afghanistan, the situation in Kashmir, and the Indus Waters Treaty, along with broader regional and international issues of mutual interest.
According to HRNW News, Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand arrived in Islamabad and met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, where the two sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations and agreed to promote practical cooperation in several areas.
Following the meeting, Anita Anand and Ishaq Dar addressed a joint press conference.
Speaking on the occasion, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that the Canadian Foreign Minister’s visit reflects an important step forward in the long-standing relationship between Pakistan and Canada. He added that the visit demonstrates the shared commitment of both countries to further expand bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
