Islamabad (HRNW)- The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed July 21 for hearing the petition filed by former Director General of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), Waqaruddin Syed, challenging the departmental inquiry initiated against him.

Chief Justice Justice Sarfaraz Dogar will hear the petition.

Earlier, the court issued notices to the Establishment Division and the Ministry of Interior, directing them to submit their reports in the matter.

The Islamabad High Court has also ordered that no disciplinary action be taken against the petitioner until the final decision of the case. In addition, the court directed the law officer to provide judicial assistance during the proceedings.

It is pertinent to mention that the Establishment Division issued a charge sheet and details of the allegations against former DG NCCIA Waqaruddin Syed on June 3, 2026, which he subsequently challenged before the Islamabad High Court.
