Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (HRNW) – Five Pakistani workers have died in a tragic gas cylinder explosion in the Manfouha area of Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia.
According to initial reports, all the deceased belonged to Mansehra District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The victims have been identified as Muhammad Saeed, Abid Hussain, Abdul Rehman, Muhammad Safeer, and Muhammad Rustam.
Following the incident, local authorities completed rescue operations and initiated legal proceedings. The exact cause of the explosion will be determined after investigations by the relevant authorities.
The Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh expressed deep sorrow over the incident and stated that embassy officials are in continuous contact with Saudi police and other concerned authorities.
According to the embassy’s statement, after completion of legal formalities, necessary arrangements will be made regarding either the burial of the deceased in Saudi Arabia or the transportation of their remains to Pakistan, according to the wishes and requirements of the families.
The tragic incident has caused deep grief among the Pakistani community living in Saudi Arabia, while the families of the deceased are mourning the loss of their loved ones.
