ISLAMABAD (HRNW): The Saudi government has announced a major decision regarding Hajj 2026, under which children under the age of 15 will no longer be able to perform Hajj. This law will officially come into effect from 12:00 AM on the night of May 3, 2026.
According to the new regulations, children who are under the age of 15 by May 27, 2026 (9 Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH – Day of Arafah) will not be permitted to travel for Hajj. After this date, no child under the age of 15 will be allowed to board a Hajj flight from any country, and all visas issued to such children will be considered cancelled.
For families who wish to cancel their trip due to this new restriction, the Saudi government has assured a full refund of the deposited amount. Furthermore, strict instructions have been issued to immigration authorities at Pakistani airports to ensure that no child under the age of 15 is allowed to board a Hajj flight.
