Colombo (HRNW)- Sri Lanka has appealed to Pakistan to reconsider its decision to boycott the match against India in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. According to foreign media reports, Sri Lanka Cricket has formally requested the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to reconsider its decision not to play the match against arch-rivals India.
According to the report, Sri Lanka Cricket has sent a letter to the PCB in this regard, in which it has been taken the position that the possible cancellation of the high-profile match between Pakistan and India scheduled for February 15 in Colombo could cause huge financial losses for Sri Lankan cricket.
According to Sri Lankan cricket officials, the match between Pakistan and India is of exceptional interest to cricket fans and its cancellation will not only be commercially but also detrimental to the promotion of cricket.
However, no official response has been received from the Pakistan Cricket Board on this matter yet.
