Tehran (HRNW)- Iran’s Foreign Ministry has said that the future of the Strait of Hormuz will be taken forward through consultations with Oman and discussions with other countries in the region.
According to media reports, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqai said that Iran had made it clear from the beginning that responsibility for the future management of the Strait of Hormuz rests with Iran. He added that consultations with regional countries would continue regarding the issue.
Baqai further said that the memorandum of understanding signed with the United States is brief, consisting of 14 clauses, and stressed that there is no ambiguity in its text.
