Islamabad (HRNW)- Details of the mandatory qualifications and monthly allowances for the appointment of federal and provincial law officers have been revealed through official documents.
According to the documents, a Deputy Attorney General in the federation must possess the qualifications required for appointment as a judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Similarly, an Additional Advocate General in Punjab must be an advocate of the Supreme Court with at least 10 years of experience in the High Court.
The documents further state that an Additional Advocate General in Sindh must have at least seven years of High Court experience, while in Balochistan, the appointee must possess the qualifications required to become a High Court judge and must also have three years of experience as an Assistant Advocate General.
The documents also disclose the monthly allowances for these senior legal positions. The Additional Advocate General receives Rs726,000 per month in Sindh, Rs690,000 in Punjab, Rs576,000 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Rs310,400 in Balochistan. The Deputy Attorney General in the federation receives a monthly allowance of Rs390,000.
Similarly, the Assistant Advocate General receives Rs570,000 per month in Punjab, Rs494,000 in Sindh, Rs422,000 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Rs230,000 in Balochistan, while the Assistant Attorney General in the federation receives a monthly allowance of Rs204,000.
