Islamabad (HRNW)- Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to strengthen their agricultural and food security partnership, with Saudi Arabia setting a target to increase imports of Pakistani rice, red meat, processed food, fruits and fruit concentrates, and green fodder to $3 billion over the next two years.
The agreement was reached during a Saudi delegation’s visit to Islamabad from August 26 to 28, 2026. Both sides identified rice, red meat, fruits and fruit concentrates, green fodder, and water-efficient agricultural technologies as priority sectors. Saudi Arabia also expressed interest in increasing rice and red meat imports from Pakistan and expanding cooperation in agricultural investment and food security.
The two countries reaffirmed their longstanding bilateral ties and agreed to continue coordination between their governments and private sectors to achieve the ambitious export target.
