Rawalpindi Court Sentences Main Accused Farrukh Khokhar to Life Imprisonment in Majid Satti Murder Case

Rawalpindi (HRNW) – A court in Rawalpindi has sentenced Farrukh Khokhar, the principal accused in the Majid Satti murder case, to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs. 1 million.

The judgment was delivered by Additional District and Sessions Judge Afshan Ejaz Safi after the completion of trial proceedings.

Immediately after the verdict was announced, Farrukh Khokhar was taken into custody inside the courtroom, handcuffed, and placed under arrest. The court further ordered that he be transferred to Adiala Jail under strict security arrangements to serve his sentence.

Extraordinary security measures were in place at the courthouse during the announcement of the verdict to ensure law and order. The case, which involved the murder of Majid Satti, had been under trial for several months before the court reached its decision.

Legal experts note that the conviction was based on the evidence presented during the trial. Under Pakistani law, the convicted individual retains the legal right to challenge the judgment before a higher court through the appellate process.
