Post-Hajj Flight Operation Begins as First Group of Pakistani Pilgrims Returns Home

Islamabad (HRNW)- The return of Pakistani pilgrims has officially begun after the completion of Hajj, with the first post-Hajj flight from Jeddah carrying 114 pilgrims arriving at Islamabad International Airport.

The returning pilgrims received a warm welcome at the airport. Chief Operating Officer Aftab Gilani, officials of the Airport Security Force, and senior representatives of the national airline were present to greet the pilgrims upon their arrival.

According to the national airline, special post-Hajj flights to various cities across Pakistan will continue as part of the return operation.

Officials said that the second Hajj flight is scheduled to arrive in Lahore from Jeddah, while the first special flight carrying pilgrims to Karachi is expected to land later in the evening.

A spokesperson for PIA stated that the post-Hajj operation will continue until June 30, with flights operating from Jeddah and Madinah to major cities including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot and Quetta.

According to officials, a total of 213 special flights will be used to bring back more than 53,000 Pakistani pilgrims.

The national airline has completed all necessary arrangements to facilitate the smooth return of pilgrims, while the entire operation is being monitored closely at the highest level.

The arrival of Hajj pilgrims has created emotional and joyous scenes at airports across the country, where families and relatives are eagerly welcoming their loved ones home after the sacred journey.
