Hangu (HRNW)- A tragic incident occurred in the Kotki area of Hangu, where four children drowned while bathing in a small dam, while another child was rescued alive.
According to details, five children entered the water for bathing when they suddenly began drowning. Rescue teams responded to the emergency and managed to save one child, while four others lost their lives.
Rescue officials said that two siblings were among the deceased children. The victims were reportedly between 5 and 8 years of age.
The incident has cast a shadow of grief over the area, while local residents have expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the young lives.
Authorities have urged parents to closely monitor children near rivers, dams, ponds and other water bodies, especially during the summer season, to prevent such tragic incidents.
