Husband and Wife Seriously Injured in Orangi Town Stabbing, Property Dispute Suspected

Karachi (HRNW)- A husband and wife were seriously injured after being attacked with a sharp-edged weapon inside their home in Orangi Town, while police suspect the incident may be linked to a property dispute.

According to details, the incident occurred in a house located on Street No. 10 near Rehmaniya Masjid in Sector 11.5, within the jurisdiction of Iqbal Market Police Station. The injured couple was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital by an Edhi ambulance for medical treatment.

Police identified the injured as 50-year-old Murshid, son of Jalal Khan, and his wife Feroza.

According to Iqbal Market Police, painting work was underway at the house. When a laborer arrived in the morning and repeatedly knocked on the door without receiving a response, he looked inside and found the woman injured. He immediately informed local residents and the victim’s son, Shakeel, who then alerted the police.

Police officials said that the injured woman owns three houses. Her first husband passed away five years ago, after which she married a man named Murshid. According to preliminary information, this is reportedly her third marriage.

Investigators further revealed that local residents had mentioned a man named Adil who had allegedly threatened the couple over property-related issues.

Police believe the attack may be connected to a property dispute, although officials say the exact circumstances will become clear after recording the statements of the injured husband and wife. Further investigations are underway.
