D-8 Delegation Visits Cultural Sites, Appreciates Punjab’s Heritage Preservation Efforts

Lahore (HRNW)- A delegation of the D8 group of developing Islamic countries reached Poonch House, where Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb warmly welcomed the visiting delegation.

The delegation included representatives from Bangladesh, Egypt, Iran, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Turkey and Azerbaijan. On this occasion, the delegates appreciated the efforts of the Punjab government to preserve and promote the cultural beauty, historical heritage and culture of Punjab.

During their visit to Lahore, the D8 delegates visited the Wagah Border, Shalimar Bagh, Mazar-e-Iqbal, Badshahi Mosque, Huzuri Bagh and Shahi Qila, where they were given a detailed briefing about the historical and cultural importance of these places.

The visiting delegation expressed deep interest in the significant progress of Punjab in various sectors and future development projects. At the end of the visit, the delegation expressed satisfaction over the promotion of mutual goodwill, cooperation and friendly relations.
