Lahore (HRNW)- Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ, marking the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad Mustafa ﷺ, is being celebrated across Pakistan with religious devotion and enthusiasm. Streets, markets, mosques and public buildings have been decorated with green flags, lights and illuminated arches, while gatherings featuring Durood-o-Salaam, Naat recitations and Milad are being held nationwide.
In Lahore, the celebrations began with a 21-gun salute after Fajr prayers at Mahfouz Shaheed Garrison, where a Pakistan Army contingent presented the salute and raised slogans of Takbeer.
In Karachi, several major Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ processions are being held, with the Traffic Police implementing a special traffic plan. MA Jinnah Road will remain closed to general traffic during the processions, while heavy and commercial vehicles will also be restricted.
Processions are also being held in Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Hyderabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Sukkur, among other cities. Niyaz and Langar are being distributed in cities, towns and villages, while mosques and religious centers are hosting Milad gatherings.
Authorities have made comprehensive security arrangements across the country to ensure the safe conduct of processions and religious gatherings. Citizens have also been advised to use alternative routes in areas affected by procession-related traffic restrictions.
