Islamabad (HRNW)- Applications for the Prime Minister’s Apna Ghar Housing Scheme have increased by 52 percent since June, reaching 139,000, according to a statement issued after a meeting of the Access Finance Steering Committee chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.
The meeting reviewed various issues related to the housing program, with officials reporting that loans issued under the Apna Ghar Program have also increased by 59 percent. Meanwhile, the financing limit approved under the Zarkhiz Scheme has exceeded Rs 7.2 billion.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb directed officials to present obstacles to housing finance before the steering committee along with clear recommendations for their resolution.
According to officials, the measures are aimed at promoting housing finance and providing citizens with greater financial access to construct or purchase homes.
