Jerusalem (HRNW)- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the possibility of reaching a diplomatic agreement with Iran under its current leadership, saying he has limited confidence in the diplomatic path.
According to AFP, Netanyahu said he had discussed the prospects for diplomacy on Iran with US President Donald Trump during a recent meeting but remained doubtful that a credible and productive agreement could be reached with Tehran’s current leadership.
Netanyahu also welcomed the new economic pressure campaign announced by the Trump administration against Iran, including additional financial sanctions and other economic measures.
His comments come amid continued tensions involving Iran, Israel and the United States, with the Strait of Hormuz and broader regional security remaining major points of concern. Analysts say balancing diplomacy, economic sanctions and the possibility of military action will remain a significant challenge for Washington and Jerusalem.
