Islamabad (HRNW)- Pakistan has categorically rejected Indian allegations concerning the Adda Siraj Hindu temple in Narowal, terming claims by India’s External Affairs Ministry false and politically motivated.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said the temple building was damaged by heavy rains on July 21, following which local authorities assessed the damage and initiated restoration measures.
The spokesperson criticized what he described as India’s distortion of facts and attempts to use political tactics, saying such claims could not divert attention from India’s record regarding minorities. He further said the international community was aware of attacks on minority places of worship in India.
The Foreign Office called for accountability over alleged atrocities against Muslim, Sikh and Christian communities in India, while reaffirming Pakistan’s position on the protection of religious minorities and their places of worship.
