Sindh Building Control Authority: Dr. Waseem Shamshad Ali Relieved, Syed Farhan Hussain Shah Given Additional Charge

Karachi (HRNW) – A major administrative change has been introduced in the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) after the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department (SGA&CD) of the Government of Sindh issued a new notification regarding the post of Director General SBCA.

According to the notification, Dr. Waseem Shamshad Ali (PAS, Grade 21) has been relieved from the position of Director General Sindh Building Control Authority with immediate effect to enable him to attend the 125th National Management Course (NMC) at the National School of Public Policy, Lahore. The course will continue from 6 July 2026 to 6 November 2026.

The notification further stated that during this period, Dr. Waseem Shamshad Ali will draw his salary from the vacant Officer on Special Duty (OSD) post of Grade 20 available under the Services, General Administration & Coordination Department.

Meanwhile, Syed Farhan Hussain Shah (PAS, Grade 20), who is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Local Government & Housing Town Planning Department, has been assigned the additional charge of Director General Sindh Building Control Authority.

According to the notification, Syed Farhan Hussain Shah will continue performing his existing responsibilities along with the duties of DG SBCA until further orders.

The notification was issued on 21 July 2026 with the approval of Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah.
