Hyderabad (HRNW) — The Sindh Food Authority, alongside Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Zain ul Abideen, carried out a major operation at a warehouse near Hala Bypass. According to a Sindh Food Authority spokesperson, more than 6,000 expired beverage bottles were recovered during the raid.
The warehouse was fined Rs 500,000 for storing expired drinks and has been permanently sealed. The operation was jointly conducted by Assistant Commissioner Syed Noor Hussain, Deputy Director Fida Hussain Khoso, and the Sindh Food Authority team.
Provincial Food Minister Makhdoom Mohibul Zaman said no compromise would be tolerated on public health, adding that those selling harmful items would be dealt with firmly. He further stated that strict action against traders dealing in expired food and beverages would continue, and there would be no leniency for anyone playing with people’s lives in Sindh.
