Islamabad: Mediation Efforts by Pakistan’s Civil and Military Leadership Are Highly Commendable, Says Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri-Moghaddam

ISLAMABAD (HRNW) – The Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri-Moghaddam, has highly praised the sincere mediation efforts of Pakistan’s civil and military leadership aimed at restoring regional peace and stability.

In an official statement released on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Ambassador Reza Amiri-Moghaddam stated: “A few minutes ago, the Honorable Minister of Interior of Pakistan, my dear brother His Excellency Mohsin Naqvi, following his return from Tehran, congratulated me on the success of the negotiations with my country’s authorities.”

Reflecting on the regional developments, the Ambassador noted: “With cautious optimism, we can expect that a positive development is taking shape, provided the other party demonstrates adequate commitment. This progress is the result of the dignified stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the steadfastness of our brave armed forces, the resilience of the courageous Iranian nation, and the sincere and tireless mediation efforts of Pakistan.”

The Iranian Ambassador further added: “I hope that the honorable Government of Pakistan and the Armed Forces of Pakistan—especially His Excellency Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, alongside the sincere diplomatic endeavors of His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and His Excellency Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in this mediation initiative—will lead to lasting peace in the region.”

Ambassador Amiri-Moghaddam concluded by expressing his heartfelt and profound gratitude to all the dignitaries for their well-intentioned and dedicated efforts.
