Loralai: Class-Based Education System Is Rebellion Against Constitution and Pakistan, Says Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman

LORALAI (HRNW) – The Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, has stated that the class-based education system prevalent in the country is an open rebellion against the Constitution and Pakistan itself. He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony of the “Bano Qabil” IT education program in the Loralai district of Balochistan.

Addressing the gathering, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman lamented that the country has historically been ruled by feudal lords, landlords, and bureaucrats. Critiques of the current state of education, he noted that nearly 27.5 million children across the country remain out of school, which is a stark testament to the incompetence of the ruling elite. He urged the youth never to lose hope and to always stand firm against injustice and oppression.

The JI chief emphasized that Pakistan does not merely need a change of faces or individuals, but a complete overhaul of the system. He highlighted that the “Bano Qabil” program is proving to be a game-changer for the youth. Under the Constitution of Pakistan, providing free and quality education up to matriculation is the state’s fundamental responsibility; however, in Loralai district alone, over 35,000 children are out of school. He asserted that the system built by the rulers oppresses the public by keeping them uneducated rather than empowering them.

Discussing economic disparities, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman pointed out that ordinary motorcycle riders pay heavy taxes, while powerful landlords and feudal lords remain exempted. He questioned why the government is hesitant to implement petrol and gas agreements with Iran, adding that reviving the Pak-Iran gas pipeline project would boost the country’s industrial sector. He expressed regret that despite being rich in natural resources, Balochistan is deprived of gas, even though a virtual pipeline network could easily supply gas to the entire province. He added that Balochistan possesses vast marble reserves that, if utilized properly, could transform the destiny of the region.
