ISLAMABAD (HRNW) – Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif has highly commended US President Donald Trump for his extraordinary efforts to achieve regional harmony, expressing optimism that Pakistan will soon host the next round of peace negotiations.
In an official statement released on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated: “I congratulate President Donald Trump on his extraordinary efforts to achieve peace, and also on his highly useful and productive telephonic conversation this morning with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, the UAE, Jordan, and Pakistan.”
The Prime Minister further informed that Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir represented Pakistan during this high-level multilateral phone call, adding, “I deeply appreciate his continuous and tireless efforts throughout this entire process.”
PM Shehbaz Sharif noted that this critical interaction provided a valuable opportunity to review the prevailing regional situation and advance ongoing peace initiatives aimed at bringing sustainable stability to the region. He reiterated that Pakistan will continue its regional peace efforts with utmost sincerity and honesty, adding, “We hope to host the next round of negotiations very soon.”
