Federal Constitutional Court Employees to Receive Major Pay Hike: Utility and Judicial Allowances Increased

ISLAMABAD (HRNW): The Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan (FCCP) has approved a significant revision in the allowance rates for all court employees. According to an office order dated April 16, 2026, the existing rates for Utility and Judicial allowances have been enhanced to provide greater financial relief.

Key details from the official notification (salary-increased.constitutional-court.jpg) include:

  • Revised Allowance Rates: Employees will now receive a Judicial Allowance at the rate of 50% of their running basic pay.

  • Utility Allowance: A Utility Allowance has also been approved at the rate of 50% of the running basic pay.

  • Immediate Implementation: These enhanced rates are admissible with immediate effect to all employees currently on the strength of the FCCP.

  • Conditions: These allowances will not be admissible during any period of Extraordinary Leave (EOL).

  • Budget Allocation: The expenditure for these increases will be managed within the court’s allocated budget for the current financial year 2025–26.

  • Legal Authority: The Chief Justice exercised these powers under Article 208(b) of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, read with relevant Finance Division directives and judicial precedents.
