CM Murad Ali Shah Inspects Karachi Development Projects, Directs Acceleration of Work on Red Line BRT and Roads

Karachi (HRNW)- Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah conducted an early morning detailed visit to various ongoing development projects across Karachi, with a particular focus on the Red Line BRT corridor, where he reviewed the pace and quality of construction work. The inspection began from Jail Chowrangi, and he was accompanied by Provincial Ministers Nasir Hussain Shah, Jam Khan Shoro, and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab. During the visit, officials briefed him on project progress, technical challenges, and implementation of previous instructions, including improvements in traffic flow, rehabilitation of mixed traffic lanes, asphalt work, and drainage-related issues. The Chief Minister directed authorities to accelerate development work within their responsibilities and ensure minimum inconvenience to citizens. He emphasized the urgent need for proper road rehabilitation, effective traffic management barriers, and a permanent solution to drainage problems, while instructing that asphalt work should be carried out during nighttime to avoid disrupting traffic. He also stated that no negligence in public welfare projects would be tolerated and announced that he would continue to conduct surprise inspections. Later, he also visited the Pehlwan Goth Road project and the Azeem Pura Intersection Flyover, where he reviewed project costs, timelines, and progress. Stressing quality infrastructure, he directed that drainage systems, sewage lines, street lights, and road construction be completed on time. He reiterated that modernizing Karachi’s infrastructure and improving travel facilities for citizens remains the government’s top priority.
