KARACHI (HRNW): Senior politician Irfanullah Marwat and Mohammad Aslam Khan, Chairman of the Karachi Grand Alliance, have formally agreed to join forces for the reconstruction and development of Karachi following a high-level meeting held at Marwat’s residence. During the discussions, both leaders reviewed the city’s deteriorating infrastructure and mounting civic issues, with Irfanullah Marwat emphasizing that every citizen must play a proactive role in saving the metropolis. Supporting this sentiment, Mohammad Aslam Khan stated that the Karachi Grand Alliance is dedicated to fighting for the rights of all ethnicities residing in the city, while Mohammad Ashraf, Chief Organizer of the Democratic Movement Pakistan, stressed that a unified strategy among all political stakeholders is essential to achieving tangible results for the public.
The meeting concluded with a strategic consensus to convene an All Parties Conference (APC) soon to address Karachi’s long-standing grievances on a larger platform. Furthermore, the leaders reached an agreement in principle to field joint candidates in the upcoming Cantonment Board elections, signaling a move toward political consolidation in the region. By aligning their efforts, the participants aimed to create a robust front capable of advocating for urban reforms and ensuring that Karachi receives its fair share of resources and developmental attention.
