PTI Leader Fahim Khan Slams Karachi Mayor, Calls Development Claims Baseless Amid City’s Deteriorating Conditions

Karachi (HRNW)– Senior Vice President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Karachi and former Member National Assembly Fahim Khan has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating overall situation in Karachi and said that the claims of the Mayor of Karachi for the development of the city are mere verbal accumulations, which have no connection with the ground realities. He said that the fake mayor neither has a public mandate nor does he have a clear, coherent and effective plan for the betterment of Karachi.

Fahim Khan said that the axis of the PPP’s politics is corruption and commission, while public issues are not among their priorities. The PPP has plunged Karachi into the worst administrative crisis and today the city has been deprived of basic amenities. Citizens are yearning for every drop of water while the rulers appear completely unsuccessful and indifferent.

He said that the roads across the city are in disrepair and transportation has become a constant torment for the citizens. Sometimes development projects are started, but instead of being completed, they are subjected to endless delays. The entire Karachi is presenting a scene of excavation, due to which the daily life of the citizens is being severely affected.

The PTI leader said that in a metropolitan city like Karachi, dust and dirt everywhere are clear evidence of administrative incompetence. The destroyed infrastructure and ruined roads are testimony to the fact that the city system has been completely rendered inoperative. The worst load shedding of K-Electric has also disrupted the lives of the citizens.

Faheem Khan further said that the sewage and drain system has been destroyed and the entire city presents a pond scene during a light rain. There is no effective garbage collection system and Karachi has turned into a pile of garbage. The transport system is at the mercy of the mafia, due to which the citizens are forced to travel in dilapidated and unsafe buses.

He said that street crimes in the city have increased to an alarming extent, citizens are being robbed in broad daylight and the law and order situation is extremely worrying. Billions of rupees are being looted in the name of fake development projects but the people are not getting any real relief. Government educational and health institutions are in a state of disrepair while the encroachment mafia has become rampant and has even snatched away the footpaths and roads from the people.

Finally, Faheem Khan said that inflation and unemployment have broken the back of the working class of Karachi, while the ruling class has become completely insensitive. The fake mayor and the incompetence of the PPP have pushed Karachi into a quagmire of problems and now the city urgently needs honest, empowered and people-friendly leadership.
