Lahore (HRNW)- Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has strongly condemned the tragic fire at PIMS Hospital in Islamabad, in which 15 newborn babies reportedly lost their lives, saying the incident has deeply shocked the nation.
In a statement on X, Hafiz Naeem questioned the federal government’s ability to manage the country, saying that those unable to properly manage a major government hospital in the capital cannot be expected to manage the entire country.
He said the parents of the deceased newborns have every right to ask where the hospital administration and staff were when the tragedy occurred.
The Jamaat-e-Islami chief criticized the performance of the PDM government, allied parties and the federal bureaucracy, alleging that incompetence has reached its peak at both federal and provincial levels. He further claimed that political parties that have ruled the country for decades have failed to deliver in key areas including the economy, security, education and healthcare.
