Islamabad (HRNW)- High Court Judge Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro has expressed concern over what he described as the inappropriate behavior and lack of seriousness among lawyers appearing before the court.
During proceedings in a case where Supreme Court Bar Association President Haroon-ul-Rashid appeared before the court, Justice Soomro said he was deeply concerned about the conduct of lawyers in Islamabad and that they often failed to adequately assist the court.
The judge urged the Supreme Court Bar president to approach the Bar Council and Bar Association and advise lawyers to improve their conduct. He emphasized that Islamabad is the federal capital and lawyers should demonstrate greater professionalism and responsibility.
Justice Soomro also said that despite coming to Islamabad to learn, he had been disappointed by the behavior he witnessed, urging the head of the largest bar association to guide lawyers on appropriate courtroom conduct.
