Karak (HRNW)- Karak and Kohat police jointly carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Khattak Dam area along the Karak-Kohat border, during which four suspected militants belonging to the Commander Zahid Group were killed.

According to District Police Officer (DPO) Karak Imran Chitrali, the suspects opened fire on the police team during the operation, prompting security personnel to respond. The exchange of fire resulted in the deaths of four alleged militants.

The DPO said authorities are collecting further details regarding the identities of the deceased and their alleged criminal records. Following the operation, DPO Karak and SP Saddar Kohat Ehsan Shah visited the area and supervised an ongoing search operation.

Police stated that operations against militant groups would continue as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts.
