Karachi (HRNW)- A hearing was held in Karachi regarding the issue of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) not registering an MBBS doctor’s degree, during which the court expressed displeasure over PMDC’s failure to implement previous court orders.
According to details, the court directed PMDC to register the MBBS degree of Dr. Ali Muhammad. During the proceedings, PMDC maintained that the applicant’s admission to Lyari Medical College had been against the rules.
However, counsel Malik Altaf Javed Advocate argued that after all legal and procedural points had been settled, the Sindh High Court had already issued clear directions to PMDC for registration of the degree.
The court remarked that if the applicant’s degree is still not registered, PMDC and Lyari Medical College would be held responsible for all consequences arising from the delay. According to the lawyer, Dr. Ali Muhammad passed his MBBS examination from Lyari Medical College in 2018 and has since been awaiting formal registration of his degree.
