Iran Confirms Diplomatic Contacts With US Through Pakistan, Reviews Ceasefire Proposals

Tehran (HRNW)- Iran has confirmed ongoing diplomatic contacts and exchange of messages with the United States through Pakistan, stating that a detailed review of US proposals is currently underway and that Pakistan will soon be informed of its official position.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baqai, while addressing a media briefing in Tehran, said that messages are being exchanged between Iran and the US via Pakistan. He added that American proposals and diplomatic texts related to a potential ceasefire are being carefully examined, although Iran has not yet issued an official response.

According to Baqai, Tehran will soon convey its formal response to Washington through Pakistan. He clarified that multiple proposals are currently under consideration and that Iran will make its final decision based on its national interests.

Meanwhile, media reports suggest that a possible US-Iran ceasefire agreement has been reduced to a one-page framework, which reportedly includes key points such as ending hostilities, reducing tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, and easing certain sanctions.
