KMC to Establish 8 Cattle Markets Across Karachi for Eid-ul-Adha

KARACHI (HRNW): The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has decided to set up eight official cattle markets across various districts of the city in preparation for Eid-ul-Adha. The list of proposed locations has been sent to the Commissioner of Karachi for final approval.

According to the plan, two cattle markets each will be established in Districts East, Korangi, and Central, while one market each will be set up in Districts West and Keamari.


Approved Locations for Cattle Markets:

  • District East:

    • KMC Ground located behind Safari Park.

    • Meteorology (Mausamiyat) Block 5 and 6.

  • District Korangi:

    • R.R. Ground and one other designated site.

  • District Central:

    • KMC Ground Sector 5-B (North Karachi).

    • Sunday (Itwar) Car Bachat Bazar ground.

  • District Keamari:

    • Bakra Piri.

  • District West:

    • German Ground and Asia Ground in Orangi Town.

The final execution of these markets will take place following the formal notification and approval from the Commissioner and relevant Deputy Commissioners. KMC aims to ensure organized and accessible points for citizens to purchase sacrificial animals while maintaining administrative order in the city.
