Serene Air Likely to Resume Flight Operations Next Month with Expanded Fleet

KARACHI (HRNW): Serene Air is expected to resume its flight operations next month after a suspension lasting several months. The airline plans to restore its services with a reinforced fleet of nine aircraft.

The suspension was previously triggered by a shortage of available aircraft, frequent flight cancellations, and alleged non-payment of outstanding dues.

Fleet and Operational Details:

  • Restored Fleet: The airline’s operations will be supported by a total of 9 aircraft, including:

    • 2 Airbus units

    • 2 Boeing 737s

    • 5 Embraer E190 aircraft

  • Regulatory Status: The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) had previously halted Serene Air’s operations until the airline could complete the necessary measures required for maintaining normal flight schedules.

  • Path to Recovery: With the acquisition and availability of these aircraft, the airline aims to overcome the technical and operational hurdles that led to the prolonged shutdown.

The resumption of Serene Air’s services is expected to provide more options for domestic and international travelers, potentially easing the pressure on other local carriers.
