US Vice President JD Vance Departs for Islamabad for Crucial Iran Peace Talks

Washington (HRNW)- US Vice President JD Vance has departed for Pakistan to hold high-level talks with Iran aimed at ending the ongoing conflict. According to US media reports, before boarding his flight to Islamabad, Vance told reporters that he was traveling on the instructions of President Donald Trump and expressed hope that the talks with Iran would be positive.

Vance stated that President Trump has provided clear guiding principles for the negotiations, adding that if Iran demonstrates goodwill during the discussions, the United States is prepared to move forward with an open heart. However, he warned that if Iran attempts to deceive the US, Washington will not respond positively.

US media further reported that Vance is accompanied by Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, both of whom have previously been indirectly involved in talks with Iranian negotiators. The primary objective of these talks is said to be addressing US concerns regarding Tehran’s nuclear and ballistic weapons programs, as well as its support for armed proxy groups in the Middle East.
