Karachi (HRNW)- The Pakistan Navy’s major maritime exercise ‘Sea Spark 2026’ has commenced in Karachi to assess the armed forces’ combat readiness and capabilities against conventional and emerging maritime threats.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Naval Chief presided over the exercise’s inaugural briefing, attended by senior officers of the armed forces.
The exercise involves Pakistan Navy ships, submarines, aircraft, unmanned systems, marines and special forces, while the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force are also participating to test and strengthen joint integration among the three services.
During the exercise, the Naval Chief visited Pakistan Navy fleet units and reviewed ongoing operations. He emphasized the importance of maintaining exceptional combat readiness and ensuring an effective response to the changing security environment.
ISPR said multi-domain operations are being practiced during Sea Spark 2026, integrating maritime, air, land, cyber and space capabilities. Information warfare operations are also being incorporated with maritime operations to strengthen the ability to gain an advantage in the information environment.
